3- Players hate the blue clay at Madrid while Roger Federer goes on to win
4- Rafael Nadal wins a record 7th French Open, tying Pete Sampras’s total of 7 titles at any slam.
5- Roger Federer wins a record 7th Wimbledon, tying Pete Sampras’s record of 7 titles at Wimbledon. while regaining the world number 1 ranking.
6 - Andy Murray Wins the Olympic Gold medal, defeating Roger Federer easily in the final.
7 - Andy Roddick retires at the US Open
8 - Andy Murray FINALLY sins a slam beating Novak Djokovic in 5 not so impressive sets
9 - Juan Martin Del Potro finally defeats Roger Federer after losing several matches earlier in the season
10 - Novak Djokovic wins the World Tour Finals going undefeated dropping his only sets to Juan Martin Del Potro in the Semi-Finals and Andy Murray in the first round robin match and retains the world number one ranking
